Idea for an installation
White print on a black background which says, "An installation in a long dark room. At one end is a projector throwing a moving image onto and through a series of net ‘walls’ 2.25 metres tall, each one suspended from the ceiling, touching the floor with weights. The last ‘wall’ is opaque, so the moving image is clearly seen and realised after the more ephemeral images through the ‘net’ walls; the spaces between them being 1 metre. The moving image being projected is that of an urban caving tour in Sheffield, Yorkshire, UK, of the culverted Rivers Sheaf and Porter."

the only mother - a video
It’s a video about my mother and fabric / sewing and it’s named after a poem she wrote called ‘The only mother’. It starts with my voice taking the viewer on a tour of some fabric objects around my home. The blind she made my daughter, a nursing pillow cover, cot bumper and tiny baby hat made from gingham fabric and a patchwork quilt that she made for me as a child, except that one square has been re-made using the fabric from the blind. Swatches of each one of these fabrics, including the replaced missing yellow quilt square were found tucked into my mum’s various handbags after she died. She

30cm x 30 cm oil on canvas of a landscape using loose brushwork and using a buttery consistency of paint, inspired by Richard Diebenkorn and Katy Moran’s abstraction. Exploring what needs to be formalised and question what needs to be there. Thinking about Morandi and spatial awareness, and the push and pull of which objects are the main characters and which are the supporting characters within the composition.
