Phone fast

Last night I stayed up late ‘researching’, among other things, an impressive young couple who are in a successful band, have recently set up an incredible coffee shop and are now building a recording studio on the Thames. They have a beautiful house AND they make their own pasta, just for a laugh. I like these people. Then I flicked through my emails and read todays brief - ‘do one less thing today’. So today the 'one less thing' was my phone. I did allow myself to check instagram once on my computer. But no other social media or scrolling eBay for shit that I am not going to buy. It has been great. I took myself off for a coffee at the impressive young couples coffeeshop with my notebook and consolidated next steps on a new project. It has been a good day.

It is a biro drawing of Andrew Lester who was only been arrested in the last 24hrs after shooting 16 year old Ralph Yarl 6 days ago. The chief of Kansas police recognised that there was a "racial component" to the attack, however they do not accept that they attack was racially motivated.

It was a beautiful day and I got my washing out on the line

I thought I should do a sound piece, a commentary on the people waiting at the bus stop outside my bedroom window. Then I went into the kitchen and it was such a beautiful day. The Lino was warm. And I thought, why in heck do I want to stare at ableton for hours?! So I plonked myself on the floor and enjoyed the view. It felt indulgent and filled me with joy. Thank you.
