A straight line is the path of least resistance
I told my daughter that I didn't have to make anything today which was lucky as we were going on a day trip to the New Forest. She replied that we would be making memories and she was right. Saw New Forest ponies and ancient trees, paddled in freezing streams, climbed trees and swung on rope swings. Had first pub lunch in 6 months and watched Coco the dog run around, nose to the ground inhaling all the new smells. All very tired but happy now. My memories are in my heart and head and as real as any photo.

The work I make comes, in some way, from me - my experiences, interests etc. Much of the work I make is a way of exploring an idea, a question or a subject and seeing where that leads me. The work I am currently making is at the border of art and science exploring the hidden world of fungus and mycelium. While I am making my work I do not consider how it will be accessed and would not want to as it would compromise the development of the work - it would become a designed product not a piece of art. However, in terms of displaying my work I do consider the practicalities of how and where work is shown.
I wouldn't change how I make my work in consideration of how people might access it
Stuart's feedback, mycelium disappearing off page works - will do more where this happens on purpose
